Description:
The Business Analyst / Project Administrator will be responsible for project administration and Business Analyst tasks for a project which will enhance a Financial Analytics and Contract Data Warehouse. The role reports to the Business Data Warehouse team within Disney Technology Solutions & Services. The role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing data warehouse projects from initiation through completion.
This will include a data and data warehouse enhancements for a contracts and financials. Candidate should have experience in managing data transformation and data warehouse projects.
Project Summary
The business analyst will be working on a project which will include three primary deliverables:
- Interface and integrate new contract data into an existing data flow and data warehouse.
- Deliver a contract operational reporting, linking information from a contract and financial data warehouse. 10 to 15 business reports to be created upon completion.
- Integrate data from a historical data into a new archive warehouse, defining mappings across two data warehouses.
Business Analyst (BA)
· Responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements for business intelligence applications.
· Gain consensus and approvals on documented requirements.
· Partner with development contractors; confirm design, development and test cases match to business requirements.
· Build requirements traceability matrices and supporting QA initiatives.
· Responsible for supporting test and release initiatives including test strategies, data use-cases and data preparation.
· Document release notes and updating training materials; deliver training through meetings and conference calls as needed
· Support User Acceptance Testing through communication, resource planning, kick-off and issue-support and resolution

· Able to complete deliverables on time, meeting or exceeding expectations
· Successful communicator, including written and oral communications.
· Able to elicit business system requirements
· Able to learn quickly and multi-task
· Strong sense of ownership - able to take on lead responsibilities when needed
Experience Requirements
· Business Intelligence and reporting experience required -- MicroStrategy experience a plus;
· Able to create business reports using business intelligence tools (no development required)
· Role includes requirements documentation from design, testing and validation, UAT support/direction, release notes and training
Experience:
· 3-5 years business analysis experience required
· Testing experience required
· Understands ETL processes
· Business intelligence experience, dashboard or other reporting experience required
· Financial systems experience helpful
Project Deliverables
· Document detailed requirements
· Document traceability matrices
· Load detailed requirements into Quality Center for use by QA team
· Write release notes / training materials
· Support testing efforts through use cases, test management tracking and test execution when needed
· Coordinate user acceptance testing
· Train business partners through release notes, training documentation and instructor-led training
