Role : Tech Writers
Location – New York City
Duration : 1-2 months – but could go longer.
***MUST BE LOCAL TO NY/NJ CANDIDATES ONLY – CLIENT WILL DO FINAL F2F INTERVIEWS***

Full project scope given:
Client is looking to bring in a small team of technical writers to re-draft and update their DR runbooks for Ecom.
· Meet with the Customer to ensure that the environment and operational implementation requirements (hardware, software, and infrastructure) are met, and provide the Customer with a list of required or beneficial updates. Web Ops, Unix and DB
· Plan and schedule the engagement's installation and configuration tasks.
· Staff Interviews will be done by Tech Writer
· Get signoff of design from PM and personnel.
· Document DB can allow for both failover and failback. DB and Tech writer
· Fully document a run book to show steps for failover and failback. Tech Writer
· Review run book with client will be done by Tech Writer.
· Schedule one (1) full failover test with client's engineers and PM
· Assist in performing initial failover test. Document missed details and update run book as needed. This includes:
o Testing scripts to manage the infrastructure. Web Ops and DB Team
o Documenting expected and experienced results Tech Writer
o Modifying documents and identifying gaps as needed. Tech Writer
· Assist in performing initial failback Web Ops and DB team
· Assist in performing secondary failover Web Ops and DB team
· Assist in performing secondary failback Web Ops and DB
· Update documentation to reflect lessons learned from each failover/failback Tech Writer
· Documentation Review; Turnover run book to client for future failover scenarios Tech Writer
· Gap Analysis Review; Description of Current State findings PM
· Analysis of gaps between capabilities and requirements PM to facilitate but Tech team needs to own as well
· Any recommendations for remediation Web Ops VMware team, and DB team
· Recovery Strategy options Web Ops
