Role : Drupal Architect
Duration : 8 months
Location : New Haven CT
Working with the ITS Website Manager, develop and maintain the ITS website and IT intranet; respond to requests for changes and enhancements, and work with Subject Matter Experts to improve the functionality and content of the ITS site.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Manage and implement requested for changes and enhancements to the ITS website, intranet and associated social media
• Define and document procedures, facilitate and support business process change for ITS related to managing and maintaining the ITS website.
• Represent ITS on appropriate committees and project teams.
• Ensure website content is technically accurate and written in an approachable style
• Update Knowledge Base articles and ensure content is up to date.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field and at least two years' experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
2. Demonstrated experience in web development and publishing.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Advanced web development skills with Drupal 6 and 7 required, along with proficiency with Cascading Style Sheets, Javascript, XHTML, and Dreamweaver or similar HTML editor.
2. Ability to understand clients' needs, take their perspective and formulate solutions accordingly.
3. Ability to collaborate, gain and maintain trust; excellent customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
4. Demonstrated ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously, calmly and on deadline, even under pressure.
5. Proficiency in MS Office, web browsers,
6. Ability to edit, and proofread written technical materials for grammar, syntax, style, technical accuracy, clarity and appropriateness for specific audiences
