I have experience doing image processing software (for my master thesis). I finished a master in molecular nano photonics for telecomm and biotech. I'm currently working as system engineer in Seattle area, and moving soon to Barcelona to continue my phd in biosensors area. I would need to start setting up an IDE for android apps but I am definitely interested in some sort of collaboration. Let me know how can we make this work.

I decided I should see if my phones camera (Motorola xt910) is sensitive enough for it, so went looking for a simple app to capture raw image data from the camera... and found that none seem to exist.... The closest being Camera FV-5 which has a free version which is quite buggy and can save low res .png images.
Went searching stackoverflow etc and found some leads but nothing concrete. The best way seems to be capturing the preview data but ive yet to get it working (First time playing with android apps.)
So basically, does anyone have any experience with android camera apps? I'm also interested in any projects currently being worked on to make the phone more useful in the lab in general.
