SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) seek to hire a Software Specialist who will be responsible for application development, integration of primary case management and adjudication application, ATAS into payment system. The candidate will oversee all programming changes to the software for this multi-tier web application and to its associated SQL Server databases, and will be required to work with IT support staff to address all issues related to programming or database management. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating release activities with developers, testers and release management staff; developing and maintaining messaging using a variety of protocols and tools to manage system's multi agency interfaces; and will coordinate all changes, as the application contains shared components. The candidate will be reporting to the Director of IT.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· 4+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, testing and maintanence of object oriented and system programming and GUI software applications.
· 4+ of experience in software development using ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, ADO.NET, IIS, ASP, HTML, XML and CSS
· Extensively used Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) & Web Services for Web application using SOAP, WSDL, UDDI and .NET
· Expertise in using Language Integrated Query (LINQ) provides for data manipulation
· Consumed Web Services using SOAP, WSDL, and XML
· Thorough Knowledge of Database design and implementation. Hands on experience in with T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, data types, queries, Indexes, triggers, views, functions, Performance Tuning, Query Optimization)
· Exposure to Software Configuration Management (SCM) using VSS
· Thorough knowledge of OOPS concepts and .NET Framework
· Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent work ethics, self motivated and quick learner, willing to learn and adopt new technologies
· Experience in implementation software architecture, design patterns and development for n-tire distributed system as well as client server application using Visual Studio.NET
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· Good English verbal and writing, communication, analytical, collaboration skills and should be a team player
· In addition, knowledge of design patterns, SOA, Open Source technologies in desirable
· Experience integrating with COTS epayment product
· Strong conceptual knowledge of socket programming, Synchronization, IPC using mutex and semaphores message queues
· Experience using DTS, SSIS, and T-SQL in a Microsoft development environment
· Demonstrate ability to write T-SQL queries to fulfill ad-hoc requests and data integrity checking; demonstrated ability to write T-SQL stored procedures for code re-use
· Demonstrated experience with DTS/integration services data transformation and manipulation tools.
