Role : SAP Performance Tester
Location is Cupertino, CA
Requirement :
· Individual will provide guidance and direction in the area of SAP performance.
· Individual must have the ability to work with diverse SAP teams such as BASIS, ABAP and Production Support.
· Individual must operate independently with minimal direction.
· Individual must have experience working in complex technical environments with many large integrated systems.
· Individual must possess strong analytical skills to assess performance risk.
Must possess demonstrated skills showcasing the following:
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to ask the right questions
· Ability to analyze raw data
· Historical Data analysis and trending
· Draw accurate conclusions from the analysis of raw data
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Understand business requirements and how those requirements impact system performance
· Ability to conduct/facilitate meetings
· Strong follow through and organizational skills
· Strong MS Office skills particularly with excel
· Solid understanding of performance testing practices and techniques
· Ability to document test results, analysis, and processes
Solid technical understanding and breadth of experience in the following areas:
· SAP R/3
· Understanding of all transactions for measuring system performance
· Understanding of all transaction for measuring program/FM/RFC performance
· Understanding of trace transaction for ABAP, database and system
· Understanding of Netweaver admin tool
· Understanding of Wily Introscope for Java analysis
· Oracle 10g Database performance optimization
· Understanding of Oracle Optimizer
· Understanding of Oracle execution plans
· Understanding of Oracle Memory usage
· Understanding of Oracle index/table relationship
· Understanding of Oracle KPI's i.e. buffer gets, call statistics
Following experience a plus
· Experience in using Performance automation tools like - Loadrunner, TAO, eCATT
· Experience with Oracle performance tools like Precise-I3
· Experience with SAP Solution Manager
· Basic understanding of SAP functional areas
Education / Experience:
Requires over 8 years of SAP performance tuning experience. Related industry experience may be considered. A masters degree a plus with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in the sciences required. Must have in-depth skills covering the majority of SAP performance analysis and tuning allowing one to easily converse and exchange ideas with subject matter experts. Must be able to apply knowledge, experience and ideas in creative and effective ways in order to meet SAP performance objectives.
