Details:
The Programmer Analyst’s role is to assist in the implementation and/or support of ERP applications. This position will add value to client by understanding ERP and how systems work, and how to implement setup and support the software to maximize business processes. This position is responsible for participating in business process design, providing support to business operations through software configuration and development. This includes working with users to translate business requirements into development specifications, conducting required development or modifications, report writing development; and the maintenance of interfaces.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Implementation, Support & Development
o Actively participate in the implementation, setup, testing and training of users to support, rollout or upgrade ERP systems.
o Meet with decisions makers, system owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve system issues.
o Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
o Work with Oracle and Oracle based business applications, local and remote development team members, and end-users to identify development requirements and execute approved development. Document technical designs, processes and system flows. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
§ Oracle Financials, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Distribution applications.
§ Interfaces between Oracle Applications and other systems.
§ Oracle data warehouse.
§ EDI transactions and processes relative to the Oracle Applications.
§ Web front-end and integration with other business applications.
o Key expert in specific functionality of ERP system software.
o Create system models, specifications, diagrams, charts and technical documentation as required.
o Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementations support.
o Provide orientation and training to end users when required.
o Participate in the client Oracle User Group.
o Maintains system documentation by writing and updating procedures.
o Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
o Interfaces with various levels of staff levels with the highest level of professionalism.
o Troubleshooting application related technical issues and errors.
o Work directly and actively with software vendors and support groups to debug and resolve issues.
o Involvement in the software user community to take advantage of knowledge base, software direction and trends.
o Participate in new technology assessment, installation, set up and testing.
· Oracle DBA Assistance
o Work with Oracle DBA(s) to maintain existing database integrity and standards.
o Design modifications and assist in setup of database schemas.
o Determine necessity and alternatives for archival data management.
o Assist in documentation and performance monitoring.
Required Skills
· College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting or management information systems and 6 years related work experience.
· Demonstrated ability to code programs in the languages and tools utilized by the supported application.
· Ability to seamlessly integrate customizations or extensions to the supported application, and the ability to write and maintain reports using tools appropriate to the supplied application and demonstrate the ability to perform systems analysis.
· Ability to analyze the gap between a user request and the capability of the supported Application to determine if a customization is needed or the functionality exists. This includes working closely with the user to understand precisely what the user is asking for, and to assist in the functional support and/or technical writing/development of the request.
· Able to take the request and either work with an internal or external team members to complete the functional/development work, and/or actually complete the work.
Other:
· Excellent written and oral communication.
· General knowledge of network, PC operating systems, network hardware, protocols and standards.
· Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem solving skills
· Well-developed written, listening, and oral communication skills.

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Travel is based on project initiatives, could be 25%-50% of time.
Required Experience
· Must have Oracle experience in order to be considered for this position
· 5+ years of PL/SQL development experience on business applications systems specifically in the area of Oracle Financials, Manufacturing, and Distribution applications
· 5+ years’ experience with Oracle Developer Tools: TOAD, Oracle Forms and Reports, XML Builder, Workflow
· 5+ years’ experience with UNIX operating systems.
· Experience with triggers, stored procedures, and packages
· 5+ years’ experience with Oracle applications version 11.5.10 or higher; Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Financial modules implementation and support experience a plus
· Demonstrated experience as a functional/ technical resource in a global operation
