Role: QA – Web Browsers

Duration: 6-12+ months

Location: Richfield, MN (LOCAL MN CANDIDATES ONLY)

Tell me about your department:

In this role, you will be a critical member of the team building the foundation for BestBuy's next generation web platform. You'll support and extend running applications & assist in the design and development of new applications. You'll be expected to evaluate and refactor in a rapid manner for every part of our infrastructure. Overall knowledge of designing an application to run on a scalable platform is expected. You will be working in an agile environment which means test-driven development and pair programming. We are evolving towards a dev/ops model, with our development teams engaged in monitoring, optimizing and supporting our production environments.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:

·         Daily functional testing and weekly regression testing of platform and support of the browse experience. 

·         Assist in creating test scenarios and acceptance criteria for new capabilities, functions and initiatives. 

Skills Overview:

What are the MUST have skills and technologies that you are looking for in a candidate?

·         Previous testing experience

·         Previous experience working in an Agile environment

·         Ecommerce experience is a plus

·         Familiar with Java, REST, Freemarker, Dust

·         Previous experience as a BA would be strongly preferred

·         Experience with Splunk and Jenkins

·         Should have knowledge on how to setup and run the tests for multiple browsers

·         Hands on experience testing REST Services
