Role Sr. ABAP Developer

Location Mounds View, MN

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Perform technical support and system development functions, consistent with defined service levels, for assigned business applications.

This includes the ability to:

o Work closely with end-users to identify issues and capture business requirements.

o Translate business requirements into system design specifications

o Perform appropriate development and testing activities

o Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

o Coordinate activities between both functional, Development and other IT departments.

o Create appropriate documentation as defined by the development methodology.

• Manage all phases of small to medium development efforts from initiation to implementation.

• Designs, develops, codes, and tests complex programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language.

• Documentation, system development, and implementation.

• Maintain a productive relationship with business and Process teams.

• Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of services, while maximizing our value to the business.

• Maintain competency in the technologies related to responsibilities.

• Manage multiple support and development tasks concurrently.

• Develop and maintains a broad theoretical understanding of current hardware and software technologies.

• Develop test data and analyze problems in programs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years of SAP ABAP programming hands on experience.

• SAP ABAP programming tools including Report and Transaction creation, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, SAP script, and Smart Forms, Screen Painter BDC, LSMW, User Exits, Menu Exits, Function Exit, Screen Exit, ALV Reports, Dialog Programming, Data Dictionary, RFC, ABAP Query, ALE, BAPI, and BADI .

• SAP ASAP methodology.

• Principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, and testing.

• Principles of program documentation.

• Principles of report, screen, and form design.

• New trends in the field of information technology.

• Performance fine tuning and Code review.

• Experience with SAP Integration using IDOCs, RFC and Web services.

• Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.

• Experience in a large company environment is preferred.

• Experience working with SAP modules ECC (SD/MM/PP/FI), SCM, CRM, SRM, MDM, GTS.

• Develop estimates for new development work being assigned to the group.

• Ability to design develops, maintain, and support object-oriented programming.
