Role Development Manager

Location Montgomery, AL

Duration 2 year

Interview  phone + F2F

Rate $55/hr

This position will direct the development team. Work with the EA team to document and communicate build and technical development standards. Support the PMO in the procurement of developer resources. Work with project managers to identify appropriate developer resources for projects in a way that maximizes the potential for project success and minimizes program risk. Serve as the functional supervisor for all developer resources.

MUST HAVE:

·         Experience with State Government- specifically with any departments who handle eligibility and enrollment for programs such as Medicaid, CHIP, Food Assistance, TANF, Subsidized Child Care, or any other DHR business area

·         Experience in healthcare industry

·         10+ years software development experience is preferred

·         3+ years of experience managing a software development team

·         Understanding of commonly-used software development concepts, practices, and procedures

·         Understanding of testing methodologies and techniques

·         Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach and sensitivity towards consistently improving service for the business

·         Ability to lead, motivate and develop high performance team managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines

·         Superior written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills

·         Decision making and problem solving based on goal and results orientation

·         Proven leadership skills and a positive, can-do demeanor with willingness to “dig in” and participate in getting the work done

·         Ability to communicate and negotiate with peers, Directors, and Executives within the company to set clear expectations and realistic goals

·         Process driven with proven ability to plan and execute multiple concurrent assignments

NICE TO HAVE:

·         Expert level understanding in C#, Java, JavaScript and other web front-end technologies
