Job Requirement:

Seeking a Sr. PeopleSoft Functional Tester who will play a critical role in current implementation of UCPath (PeopleSoft HCM 9.2) project. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of Peoplesoft testing experience and exposure to 9.x product suite, specifically ESS, MSS, HR, Benefits, Absence Management, Payroll, TAM and Commitment Accounting. Experience testing in both initial implementation and break/fix solutions is required. Experience with HP testing tools, PSFT test framework, and UPK is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios, cases and scripts.

·         Responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on testing aspects of application.

·         Responsible to create use cases, develop and maintain test specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data.

·         Adhere to best test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects.

·         Participate in release decisions and establish measures of test efficiency, effectiveness and application readiness.

·         Experience in working through the testing lifecycle over multiple assignments under aggressive timelines. Payroll Parallel test experience is preferable.

·         Coordinate and communicate with testers.

Understands how to leverage test management tools and test automation tools

 

Required Skills:

 

·         5+ years of hands of experience as PeopleSoft Functional Tester

·         Experience in at least 1 implementation of 9.x version of PeopleSoft with big, distributed customer.

·         Expertise in designing and developing test cases, scripts, scenarios and reports.

·         Good functional knowledge at least on two Peoplesoft modules i.e. ESS, MSS, HR, Benefits, Absence Management, Payroll, TAM and Commitment Accounting is needed.

·         Experience with PS Query and SQL is needed.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Experience in all phases of testing including Functional Unit, System Integration, Parallel, User Acceptance and Performance testing.

·         Should be able to perform successfully in a team setting by aligning to the overall priorities of application testing.

·         Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills.

·         Ability to work cross-functionally with variety of people to accomplish goals and support others.

·         Strong testing expertise in script writing, execution and defect resolution.

·         Should be proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements.

·         Strong working knowledge of testing tools, preferably Quality Center and QTP is required.

·         Experience with MS Word, Excel and Visio is required.

·         Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.

Preferred

 

·         Prior experience of Higher Education or Healthcare is preferred.

·         Knowledge on workflow is desirable.

·         Demonstrated experience with developing automated functional test scripts from test specifications and developing functional libraries and utility scripts.

Knowledge of agile development methodology is preferred
