The client is a leader in converged networking solutions, provides enterprise-class connectivity for servers, networks and storage devices within the data center is seeking a Senior UNIX System Administrator - Architect level talent to join our IT team.
Candidate will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more UNIX operating systems (Solaris, Linux, etc.), maintaining the integrity and security of systems. Detects, diagnoses, and resolve problems with servers, workstations, application software, and associated peripherals. Serves as a front line interface to internal customers with technical questions. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems update with challenging technologies. Duties may include installing software, maintaining networked/distributed computing environments (NFS, NIS, LDAP, DNS). Scripting. Storage NetApp.
Minimum Qualifications:
You should have a solid understanding of Linux; administration in engineering environment (e.g. configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installs 3rd party software; configures license managers and develops wrappers to set environmental settings. Storage administration. Can configure NFS, NIS, and / or LDAP, DNS, understands routing concepts. Solid understanding of security concepts and adheres to security practices and procedures. Monitors and ensures uptime and repair of servers, workstations and storage systems. Scripting ability with Perl/Shell, LSF/RTM/FlexLM/License Scheduler.
Desired Qualifications:
Exposure to Semiconductor engineering environment, exposure and troubleshooting with Windows systems, MySQL, understanding of EDA tools.
