Role Build/Release DevOps Engineer

Location Washington, DC

Duration Long Term

The DevOps engineer is responsible for building and managing various components of the client's infrastructure focusing on continuous integration, automated software releases, configuration management and provisioning of environments.

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience with system administration, application programming, networking, and data center infrastructure.
• Software development background and scripting
• Experience with build and deployment automation tools (e.g. Maven, Jenkins)
• Experience with build automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud technologies (VMware, vCHS, OpenShift, Docker)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage software delivery, systems integration, and developer support tools.
• Work with other software engineers, database developers, infrastructure, operations and QA teams to design and implement quality software delivery solutions.
• Support, troubleshoot, monitor and optimize production systems.
• Help streamline software development by contributing to implementation of a continual integration process and automating manual processes.
• Document process and procedures

This position can also be located in Herndon or Reston, VA.
