Role Mainframe Developer

Location Madison, WI

Duration 3 years

 

The Project will consolidate IT systems and equipment for improved efficiency and modernization of the client's IT Systems and infrastructure.  The goal is to deploy PeopleSoft to consolidate multiple outdated human resource, procurement and financial business systems into one efficient, transparent and modern enterprise-wide system. 

 

To support this effort, the client is looking for high-energy individuals with significant experience in mainframe development to provide IT services to the department.   In general, candidates will provide analysis, development and technical support for internal applications.  Candidates will provide services for:  (1) project work for conversion, integration, and retirement (2) backfill to mainframe applications development staff.

 

Skill requirements:

·         Custom mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, Oracle and IMS technologies. 

·         Environment tools:  Platinum, ChangeMan, Control-M, Control-D and Move for DB2.

·         Other tools or technologies:  Web services, SyncSort, and  Co:Z Batch.

·         Significant development experience in the above mainframe tools and technologies is required. 

·         Web applications using Java, xml, web services and stored procedures. 

·         Development experience or exposure in the web technical areas is beneficial.

Candidates must have superior communication and organizational skills
