Software Engineer - Test Automation
Location: San Francisco CA 94104
Duration: 6-9 months Contract
Skype and in person. Locals only
USC or GC only
Role will also be responsible for writing test plans, test cases, creating tools, completing functional testing and building automation solutions.
Required:
· hands-on coding skills in C# or Java or any OO Language to develop software test automation
understanding of object oriented
· Ruby is required (The test automation mainly is written in Ruby.
· AWS is a very good to have
· experience with test automation (writing C# or Java automation tests)
· Not looking for a pure coder - need someone with any UI framework experience for UI automation testing.
· Integration testing and some coding - position will require 305 coding.
Day to day
- Schedule and implement automated software tests.
- Identify and solve problems at the component or feature level.
- Actively participates in multiple functional areas.
- Propose methods for improvements.
- Mentor others as necessary.
- Understand the needs of customers and of groups dependent on the work of the team, and uses this understanding to drive test automation.
- Code relatively complex tests to implement a test design.
- Set up a test automation and execution framework. Implement key steps that are used by several test cases.
- Put together the key steps to build an automated suite of test cases.
- Execute test cases and report results, collect metrics around testing, and create and manage testing schedules.
- Involved from product inception, proactively look for potential quality issues, and contribute to Technical Reviews and Root Cause Analysis sessions.
- Find and recommend industry standard testing methodologies and technologies.
- Proactively identify and build effective solutions to complex technical problems.
