Sebastian has some opinions on this.

There's lots discussed here that you find by searching

I'll be developing a UPS shippable low cost positive pressure HEPA flow bench to sell in a while -- too busy with the
culture shock electroporator right now though. (blog.kitmatic.com and https://cibolo.us/mailman/listinfo/open_electroporator)

The most important things seem to be:

1. Avoid vortices in air flow by using squirrel cage fans, baffles, perforated flow source walls,
straight path out the front door.

2. Use a front screen that raises and lowers to reduce the air flow needed, and that is clear see through and cleanable.

3. Make a control for air flow that adjusts to a good low flow that won't blow on your subjects,
dry them out, blow them around, etc.

4. Make a perfect seal to your HEPA filter element edges.

5. Have decent light sources built in because you cannot snake them in and have good cleanliness.

6. Add other niceties like indicators, carry handles
