Lab Product Priority List

Hi folks, I've been a lurker here a while, but looking now to get more
involved. I'd like to start a thread that attempts to list and
prioritize the lab products that are most necessary to the majority of
us and may be overpriced or hard to get. I'm thinking primarily about
wet products like enzymes, media, buffers, cofactors, etc. as opposed
to lab equipment.

The reason I ask is that I'd like to try to use my molecular biology
degree and lab experience for something useful and try to start a bit
of a one man cottage business producing a needed product or two.
There's a lot of lab stuff we all know we get price-gouged for well
beyond any manufacturing cost concern. So what product(s) tops your
priority list for cost break or availability?
