But wait: if some DIY recipe actually calls for live yeast, what's the
point of not including "live yeast" in the BoM? (Or somewhere that
lists actual physical items, materials, ingredients, etc.) What's the
point of instead listing the DNA sequencing of the live yeast, if the
DNA of the live yeast is, in fact, irrelevant to what's being
described? If you actually need yeast, having the DNA for it won't
help unless you can completely fabricate yeast from scratch. And why
bother even if could? Just buy some yeast.
