SCOPE OF SERVICES

 

The City of New York Department of Information Technology (DoITT) is implementing applications and reporting systems in support of the NYC housing recovery programs.  These programs are designed to help people directly affected by Superstorm Sandy achieve permanent, sustainable housing solutions.  This solicitation is for assistance with developing data sharing, analytics and reporting.  The scope of services to be performed by the selected individual includes:

  • Work closely under the direction of the Project Manager and Technology manager with stakeholders from DoITT, the Mayor's Office and other city agencies including managers, line employees, and IT staff.
  • Gather and document business requirements
  • To be responsible for coordinating activities and resources that impact multiple departments, systems simultaneously
  • Host Team Meetings
  • Review meeting minutes and ensure the follow ups are conducted in a timely manner
  • Document and maintain project risks and issues log
  • Coordinate interagency meetings
  • Ensure agency partners adhere to deadlines and deliverables as per the project plan.

 

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 8 years of experience in business analysis including or supplemented by project planning and implementation experience.

o   Excellent communication and writing skills

o   Ability to be an effective team player.

o   Strong sense of ethics and professionalism.

o   Strong working knowledge with the following tools: Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Ability to create management presentations and status reports

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :

o    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

o   Experience working with NYC Government agencies
