Role : Sr Application Developers
Location : Southern CA
Duration : 12 months
Job Description :
Application Sr Developers would be responsible for resolving production issues, defect fixing, identifying root causes and developing break fixes for production Problems. The scope of position also includes understanding the application code, new releases, perform check-outs and provide solutions to improve stability, availability & performance
• Review new items (problems, incidents) assigned to the application work group
• Ensure that sufficient information is available with each problem ticket to proceed with the analysis and resolution
• Triage production incidents and resolve issues as quickly as possible
• Provide technical guidance to the team members in resolving production issues
• Perform root cause analysis & identify permanent fix to problem tickets
• Develop solution/break fix, perform testing and deployment
• Understand the design, code and test cases of the application
• Perform code & test case reviews on new application enhancements
• Automate manual workarounds and maintenance activities
• Participate in performance tuning activities to improve application performance
• Coordinate business approval of production migrations (release entry framework to be extended). Facilitate the hand-off of new release functionality from the development team to the OM team
• Monitor production capacity and storage for the application and take corrective action when capacity thresholds are passed
• Perform productivity improvement programs and preventive maintenance initiatives related to OM
• Monitor and report on quality of code delivered to production
• Monitor and improve the SLA performance
• Ensure progress of all production ticket items through closure
• Provide training and support for applications support tools
• Support for disaster recovery testing initiatives
• Periodic updates of application documentation as a result of OM changes
Qualifications :
· Experienced in one or many of below technologies
· Siebel Technologies
· Oracle OPA knowledge
· Oracle ADF Knowledge
· Java/J2EE technologies
· Experience in SOA(Services Oriented Architecture)
· ThunderHead
· Webcenter
· EDI
· Strong SQL Knowledge
· Undergraduate degree or High School diploma/GED with 5+ years equivalent experience
· 2+ yrs of Production Support experience
· Strong Communication & Coordination Skills
· Strong Problem Solving & Analytical skills
· Certification in ITIL is a plus
· Prior experience working with Health exchanges is a Plus.
