Role Manual QA Testers
Location Orange County CA
Duration Long Term
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5-7 or more years working as a QA Analyst
· Expert in QC and QA Process
· Previous experience of working on Datawarehouse projects - Datastage (v 8.5 or 7.5) preferred
· Experience with TOAD
· Experience with SQL Developer
· Good SQL Skills is a Must (primarily writing SQL queries)
· Test case creation and Test script execution. Review of both test cases and results
· Ensure Requirements & Test Cases are stored correctly in the Test Management tool (HP Quality Center / ALM) for areas assigned
· Ensures defects are logged into defect management tool, and assist with defect tracking and resolution
· Experience working in a fast paced environment and demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple code stream releases
· Candidate needs to have experience in complex environments and should understand how to coordinate across many applications and teams as part of a single testing effort.
· Must possess a passion for delivering high quality software
· Experience in integration/functional/system testing
· Proven problem solving skills
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to communicate in both business and technical terms
· Ability to come up to speed quickly without formal training
· Ability to meet high standards and tight deadlines while working within clearly defined/strict policies
· Experience in Test Planning and Test artifacts creation (Test Plan, test Scripts, Test Summary, Requirements Traceability etc.)
· Experience in working with Development teams for defect resolutions
· Good Communication skills (written and Spoken)
· Experience testing a claims system and from the Healthcare/Insurance Industry.
