Java / FIX Developer
Location: New York, NY (must work onsite)

The team is responsible for developing the FIX Connectivity system. This includes the processing and delivery of high throughput/low latency transactional FIX messages to trade management systems; persisting data to reliable stores; improving the scalability, reliability and performance of software systems; building key tools for operational and support groups.

Day to day tasks involves the design and development of next generation systems as well as enhancing existing infrastructures, troubleshooting issues and providing support to dedicated operational groups when necessary.

Requirements:
•    4 + years of development experience is essential (JAVA)
•    3 + years of industry experience with the FIX Protocol
•    Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
•    Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Networking/Sockets
•    Must have expertise in programming under UNIX/Linux
•    Hands on Multi-threading experience
•    Working knowledge of development tools such as debuggers, profilers and tracing utilities
•    Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills, with a logical and pragmatic attitude.
