A fast growing NYC based Healthcare organization is looking for highly motivated, detail oriented Data Warehouse Data Analyst who understands the unique needs of Healthcare and its use of Business Intelligence, data reporting, business applications and database development.

Description

·        Data Analyst will support the Enterprise Business Intelligence Program.  She/he will assist with data profiling, modeling, quality analysis and source to target mapping.   Uses and applies advanced sql language skills to complex data models.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Creates complex sql queries using command line interface against complex data models. Must be familiar with inner and outer joins, subqueries

·        Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for all layers in EDW (staging, data warehouse and data marts)

·        Develop an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of business objectives, complex data and multiple data domains

·        Create thorough documentation artifacts and maintain same for duration of project

·        Develop and perform standard queries and searches to identify data inconsistencies, missing data and resolve as needed

·        Understand, analyze and evaluate source system data bases/data models

·        Develop data quality assessment specifications

·        Perform quality analysis, profiling tables for outliers, nulls, cardinality

·        Create documentation based on profiling results for use by programming team

·        Develop and maintain metadata for various data warehouse components such as data models, ETL, cube, reports

·        Collaborate with database administrators to implement and optimize physical database design for ETL and reporting

Required Skills

• Experience with enterprise data warehouse implementations, integrating multiple legacy and strategic source systems
• Hands on experience with Very Large Databases (over 2 terabytes)
• Experience in modeling techniques and solutions in dimensional data models
• Experience - hands on proficiency with SQL such as TOAD or SQL Plus
• Must demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in use of SQL to retrieve data from a Oracle or DQL systems
• Must know complex queries, joins at the atomic data layer
• Demonstrated ability to understand foreign and primary key requirements within a DW environment
• Verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with various levels of management (both Cover-All and its customer's)

Qualifications

·        Associate's degree is required

·        5+ years of SQL experience & query design

·        5+ years of SQL server/database knowledge

Healthcare data experience is preferred (in hospital or provider environment)
