[DIYbio] Re: plant tissue culture reagents in australia

Austratec are fantastic for the hobbyist/small business. https://www.austratec.com.au/
All the usual M&S, Agar, hormones, nutrients etc are available.
They are agents for phytotec, so no customs problems.

I have found them friendly, and deeply supportive.

I have a side interest in getting plant biotech into schools. Just because it is the closest I can get to biotech without regulatory issues.
If you want to do plant TC, you might find my sub-$100 growth cabinet interesting. (mine was ~$60, but hey - I recycled - thrift shop yea!)

I have shared updates on this with the Perth DIYBio community:

because, you know, everyone should clone an animal-bashing plant at least once in their lifetime!

Cheers,
H

Hey,

Anyone know where to buy reagents for plant tissue culture in Australia?
Also, if anyone has any further info or resources it would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Rene
