Re: [DIYbio] used cell incubator

I thought there were two community biolabs in Brooklyn (genspace, biotech without borders), and also a decent DIY BIO community.

Hi everyone
A while back I requested help defining a protocol for a therapeutic adipose derived stem cell procedure that I would like to perform. Unfortunately I didn't get as much feedback as I had hoped so I had to go ahead and choose an approach myself. I am now working on the protocol . I think I know all the materials I need except of course a cell culture hood or a proper laboratory to work in given that, amazingly, in New York City there isn't a biospace available . So I'm going ahead with it anyway and I think the only significant expense will be one piece of equipment. I'm not using Calf serum, substituting autologous platelet lysate. The missing piece I think is a cell incubator . I know there are many for sale used. But I have no idea what type, size, etc.
I would love it if someone can tell me the minimum features I need for that incubator . All the information about what I'm doing and the materials list alright here on this working document that I posted in Google Docs.
