[DIYbio] Doing a heredity test with an Open PCR machine at home

I would like to be able to do a heredity test on poultry (chickens) with an Open PCR machine.  I emailed the company that sells the machine and they say this is possible to do at home, but I will also need to design an experiment specific for identifying chicken maternity/paternity, and will need some supplies and equipment beyond just the Open PCR.  They suggested that I try this discussion group for some good advice.  Does anyone know what the next steps are after I get the results from the Open PCR machine?  Below is the link for the Open PCR machine  Thanks for your time and help, Jason
