However, the result of an experiment is knowledge. The result of manufacturing is a product. We don't call manufacturers "experimenters" because it's a different sort of thing they do. And frankly, I'm not concerned with experimenters producing open hardware. That's sort of the point of an experiment. I _am_ concerned with helping manufacturers to produce open hardware, because they typically don't. Subtle difference in word meaning? Yep. But an important one.
